Coaching Definition
What is coaching?
"Coaching is a one to one conversation focused on the enhancement of learning and development through increasing self-awareness and a sense of personal responsibility, where the coach facilitates the self-directed learning of the coaches through questioning, active listening and appropriate challenge in a supporting and encouraging climate" (van Nieuwerburgh, 2012).
During coaching sessions you will decide what it is you want to achieve, how you want to achieve it and when you want to achieve it.
1:1 Coaching
In one-on-one coaching, an individual meets with their coach on a consistent basis to work on individual goals, habits, and intentions. One-on-one coaching is designed to meet the individual wherever they are in life. For some, that means it revolves around work and career growth, while for others, it’s about life and personal growth.
A coach serves as your dedicated thought and accountability partner. By meeting regularly, the path to personal transformation and growth becomes clearer than ever.
Leadership Coaching
Research suggests that coaching has a positive impact on workplace performance. Many organisations expect their leaders and middle manager to coach their team members to develop their leadership skills, enable a culture of openness and contribution.
The focus of leadership coaching is to empower leaders to achieve specific professional goals including building an effective team, enhancing strategic thinking and improving staff wellbeing through a greater understanding of current thinking, actions and suggestions.
Coaching Supervision
Coaching Supervision is a collaborative learning practice to continually build the capacity of the coach through reflective dialogue for the benefit of both coaches and clients. Jasmine offers closed group and individual coaching supervision for coaches supporting neurodivergent clients.
This will be a great next step for coaches who have completed ‘Working with and Coaching Neurodivergent Clients’.
Team Coaching
Individuals in a Team Coaching programme would typically work together with a core goal or purpose. Achievement of this purpose would require a joint commitment and contribution from each team member. Whilst there may be individual learning, the team “turn up” with a focus on team performance.
In Team Coaching there is a greater emphasis on managing team dynamics, focusing on the relationships within the team and upon the performance of the team and the whole system.
Co-Coaching
Co-coaching is a service for neurodivergent employees and employers who need support to work together. In co-coaching, we systematically break down the issues and tasks into clear, measurable outcomes and address them with specific strategies that both employee and line manager agree upon.
The co-coaching process is particularly useful for addressing historical conflicts and working with employees who find it hard to communicate with their manager.
Group Coaching
Group Coaching involves brining a collection of individuals together - typically individuals who share a common interest. The members of this group will have individual goals, individual areas of focus and are individual accountable for the achievement of their goals.
Group coaching programmes begin with an introduction to coaching skills, such as listening, questioning and some foundational coaching principles. It is often the case that delegates on a group coaching programme acquire coaching skills which they take back into their workplaces or their personal lives.
